HTCS®-230 Hot Tool Steels were designed to manufacture tools, dies and dies for applications that benefit from high thermal conductivity while requiring high mechanical and tribological properties.

It is an excellent tooling material for hot molds (press hardening) and glass fiber reinforced plastic injection molding to increase the cooling speed, reducing cycle times and increasing the quality of the piece produced.

It reaches hardness levels up to 50HRc by an aging process.

Applications:

Molds and inserts for plastic materials. Applications where a good thermal conductivity and dimensional stability is required during processing and high polishing.
